When I Started at FIPCO: There were only seven staff members here that covered programming, training and technical. We’ve sure grown since and provide many more services than we did back then. Being a former FIPCO software user, I was able to jump right in to train and assist customers.
How I Make Sure FIPCO Customers Come First: Having been on the other side of the fence and knowing what goes on in the loan department, I can relate to the customers very well. I can see their perspective and know immediately what their situation is and am able to resolve issues quickly. I enjoy working directly with customers and they help me as well in keeping me abreast of new products and programs that are offered by the different providers.
What I Enjoy Most About FIPCO: The fabulous and friendly staff that we have!
Interests Outside Work: Photography, horse shows, rodeos and crafts

Dream Vacation: To go back to Hawaii!!

What I Enjoy Most About FIPCO: The wonderful staff and customers I have the pleasure of working with each day, along with the diversity that each day brings.
Interests Outside Work: Getting to be a kid again by keeping up with my two sons, helping with the local girls’ basketball team and taking time to do absolutely nothing if such a moment presents itself.

When I Started at FIPCO: I felt the most difficult thing to learn was knowing what customer was on the phone by what city they are in. Now when someone says that a customer is on the phone I ask what city? Then I know what person I usually work with at that location.
How I Make Sure FIPCO Customers Come First: You learn in this business to pay attention to what the customer says, and understanding that is the key. I learned this the hard way by not paying attention on my first few customer calls. You can’t expect to be respected unless you respect first, and being a good listener means showing respect for your customer first, and understanding what they need second.
What I Enjoy Most About FIPCO: Using my understanding of most computer related issues gives me great satisfaction in solving problems. I am given the freedom to use my imagination and try unconventional methods when necessary to solve problems. This makes coming to work everyday enjoyable and I never dread the 18 mile drive to work each day. Secondly I like to take on a challenge once and awhile and many customer issues present the opportunity to solve a challenge.
Interests Outside Work: I am an active bowler and enjoy the competition. Overcoming that hand eye coordination thing is fun. I can no longer compete in gymnastics as I did in college, so bowling gives me that thrill of victory (sometimes)! I enjoy spending time watching movies, snow skiing, traveling with my wife and two sons, listening to oldies, going to the UW Men’s basketball games, and dining out.
I Wish I Could Meet: Kirk Douglas. After reading his book Ragman’s Son I gained respect for his plight as the son of a poor immigrant. He had to overcome several tragedies in his life to become successful. Most of all I admire his moral stance to hire black listed people in Hollywood that were accused of being communist.
Dream Vacation: A ski vacation to Europe. The French and Swiss Alps and staying in a warm chalet.

How I Make Sure FIPCO Customers Come First: I try to handle each and every customer, as I would like to be treated. Every call is important and I try handling the problems as they come up in a quick and timely fashion, minimizing the time the customer has to spend directly on the issue.
What I Enjoy Most About FIPCO: The small friendly working environment, I feel like an important member of the team instead of a numbered employee.
Interests Outside Work: Paintball, video games, gardening, fishing, reading, air-smithing.
I Wish I Could Meet: Robert L. Howard, or President Roosevelt.
Dream Vacation: A year sailing around the world with my wife, all expenses paid of course.

Interests Outside Work: I love NASCAR Racing. I look forward to February every year so I can attend the Daytona 500. Besides racing I like to go boating and spend time with my family and friends.

What I Enjoy Most About FIPCO: The staff at FIPCO is second to none in their friendliness, professionalism and positive attitudes.
Interests Outside Work: Spending time with my family is tops on my list, however, I enjoy most spectator sports such as football, baseball and hockey. Reading is a good relaxer and traveling to warm sunny places is a must do!

Dream Vacation: Traveling around Europe for a couple of months followed by a Mediterranean cruise would be my ideal vacation.

How I Make Sure FIPCO Customers Come First: Maintain a motto of “Customer For Life”. There should be no project that simply ends when the delivery is completed. Keep an open communication and build a strong trusted network of friends, peers and others that you have worked with. Trust is built on honest, integrity and a simple willingness to deliver beyond what is expected. An important concept is to always undersell and over deliver.
